Passenger Information Display System

The passenger information display (PIDS) is currently a block in development. It can be linked with trains to predict the arrival times of the train. See this article for details.

When placed adjacent to platform screen doors or diagonal to automatic platform gates (two blocks above the ground), the display will show the destination as shown on the platform screen doors or automatic platform gates.

Recipe

The passenger information display system can be crafted with a shapeless recipe consisting of a sign, redstone block, and iron ingot.

  4. The Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) is an exciting feature in development that aims to improve the overall experience for passengers at train stations. By linking the display with trains, it can predict and show real-time train arrival times, helping passengers stay informed and reducing wait-time uncertainty. When placed near platform screen doors or automatic platform gates, the PIDS displays the train's destination, keeping passengers updated on where the train is headed.

What makes this system even more user-friendly is its easy crafting process. You can create the PIDS using a simple shapeless recipe that includes a sign, a redstone block, and an iron ingot. This means it's not only practical but also accessible for players looking to enhance their in-game train stations with real-time passenger information. It’s a great tool for adding more realism and convenience to your railway system!
