Train Timer

The train timer is a flat block, visually similar to a redstone repeater or a redstone comparator, that automatically starts and stops a train when it arrives.

Recipe

The train timer has a shaped recipe and can be crafted with two redstone torches, a compass, and three stone blocks (stone, granite, polished granite, diorite, polished diorite, andesite, and polished andesite all work).

Operation and Physics

Placement

When the train timer is placed in the world, it will look like a flat stone slab with the thickness of a redstone repeater or a redstone comparator.

The train timer is only useful when it is placed next to a station rail. It will change its appearance accordingly when it is done so.

Usage

The three torches on the train timer are redstone outputs, and they are meant to be connected to platform screen doors or automatic platform gates. When a train arrives and stops at the station rail, the three torches will turn on and provide redstone power for any platform doors or gates that are connected. After five seconds, the train doors and platform doors / gates will automatically close and the train will leave.
