Minecraft Transit Railway 3.0

Minecraft Transit Railway is a Minecraft mod based on Hong Kong's train system, the MTR. It adds trains into the game along with other miscellaneous blocks and items. With this mod, it is possible to build a fully functional railway system in your world!

Please report any issues or bugs that you find; that would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy :)

    Your mod is truly amazing! Especially the platform doors which I've looked for for ages. I just wonder if it's possible to add these brilliant features to the 1.7.10 version as well? In any case, it's well done!

      Hello, thank you for your feedback! Most of the features are still under development, and I am releasing a version which fixes many bugs soon. I don't know if I'll work on the 1.7.10 version as much simply because it has fewer features than 1.8.

      It's a good mod. 9/10. But i'd like to suggest some things.

      1. When a train/tram goes to the depot, it kicks you off the train/tram. it needs to be fixed.

      2. It would be cool if mobs (e.g: villagers) could ride the trains and trams.

    This mod is everything I've been looking for in a train mod! However, is it possible to add some more generic train models? Maybe something closer to a Minecraft aesthetic? Possibly steampunk?

      Hello! Thank you for your interest in my mod! This mod is centered around Hong Kong trains at the moment, so I'll be working on those for now. However, in the future I might add more generic types of trains as well.

    Hello. When I try to run a batch file, especially gradlew setupDecompWorkspace, the command prompt that pops up closes immediately. This is in creating a mod like yours and how would you fix the problem mentioned above?

      Hi! Thanks for your question. Did you use a separate command prompt window? When you open a command window and "cd" to the folder where the mod is installed, you should be able to run "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace" successfully. Hope this helps!

      "cd" just means navigate to the working directory in command prompt. For example, if you type "cd %appdata%\.minecraft" it will make the command prompt work from that folder. You would need to type "cd (your directory)" to navigate to your modding folder, then type "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace". Hope this helps!

      Hi, another thing you can do is shift right click the folder where everything is installed. Right click "Open command window here" and hopefully that works.

    I love the fact that I see you are still working on it. How awesome. Was planning on creating a small private server again and was looking for MRTs and learned that there was this mod which is really cool! I do want to know if you have a donate option?

    Hello! I love this mod, and I've been using it to build an extensive underground subway network. However, just recently, I tried to build a curved track and it wouldn't work. It just produced a straight track that went on forever, and now I can't add any curves to my line. Do you have any idea as to what's causing this? Also, I can't seem to get the platform display's 'next arrival' feature to work. It doesn't appear on the board when I set it up. Any help would be appreciated!

    This mod is definitely a 9/10, it’s a huge upgrade from weird looking minecarts. However, the only trains that can be used are the C-Train and the SP1900, a bit disappointing considering there are a lot of trains in the real MTR system. Maybe add that as an update in the future?
